It is estimated that if Spain continues with this project, there will be up to 1.1 million tons of white hydrogen in the Aragonese Pyrenees. What is white hydrogen and why is it so important?
There is so much talk about this part because it is very valuable because it could be the new fuel of the future. The most important thing to emphasize about this type of hydrogen is that it is natural. This is because, unlike other types of hydrogen, such as yellow, blue, pink or green, White is not obtained by any transformation process, but is obtained naturally, as a result of various phenomena.
This makes it the only type of gas that is completely free of carbon dioxide emissions, as it does not have to undergo any polluting process in the environment. Another big advantage is that it is constantly regenerating, so it is a constant and safe energy.
Since it is generated naturally, this type of hydrogen can have several causes, such as for example the filtration of water between tectonic plates or the dissolution of various iron-rich sediments.
Your only one problem is located in the possibility to remove itwhich isn’t the easiest thing of all, and that’s why there hasn’t been much emphasis on finding it until now. Now, however, in Spain they are prepared to start extracting it at all costs.
