In the Community of Madrid the GREEN RACE 2025 Circuit is looking for transforming mountain biking integration of sustainability, technology and respect for nature in all its stages. Another objective will be to promote sustainable tourism and generate a positive impact on the local economy.
The BTT is preparing for an important transformation with the arrival of the Circuito GREEN RACE 2025, an innovative initiative that is consolidated as a new reference for mountain bike enthusiasts in the community of Madrid and nearby municipalities. This new circuit will replace the historic 7Estrellas Circuit, which has been a reference within the cycling community for more than ten years.
This project wants to offer unique experiences for athletes of all levelswhere sport, nature and tourism are integrated in an innovative format.
Sustainable cycling
The GREEN RACE 2025 Circuit, which has the support of the Madrid Cycling Federation and the Community of Madrid, aims to go beyond traditional mountain bike tests. With a design that promotes respect for the environment, this new circuit, without giving up the highest organizational qualitywill eliminate single-use materials, promote recycling and adopt innovative measures such as non-polluting vehicles, signage with biodegradable materials and campaigns to collect batteries and waste for treatment and recycling. Likewise, educational sessions for children and activities to condition the natural environment will be integrated.
The GREEN RACE 2025 Circuit will travel through several municipalities in the Community of Madrid, combining the sporting challenge with respect and promotion of the natural environment. This initiative includes groundbreaking measures in sustainability, as the elimination of polluting materials, the implementation of renewable energy sources and educational programs that promote environmental awareness.
Javier Donaire, with more than 15 years of experience in leading mountain biking projects and promoter of this circuit, said: «Green Race 2025 represents our vision on the future of mountain biking. Cycling and nature
The inauguration of the Circuit is scheduled for February 2 in Colmenar del Arroyo, with a spectacular test such as the “Ruta de las Dehesas” that passes through a large part of the western mountains of Madrid. In this case Cyclists will enjoy a route adapted to all levelsfrom semi-professional level to the most amateur cyclists.
The circuit calendar will continue to travel through the region with tests in iconic municipalities for MTB exercises such as Alalpardo, Pezuela de las Torres, San Martín de Valdeiglesias or Chinchón, among others. Each event will be an opportunity to boost tourism and the local economy, attracting hundreds of participants and visitors. “It’s a unique opportunity for that show the cultural and natural wealth of each municipality together with a sustainable and inclusive practice of our favorite sport,” said Donaire.
