Nearly 3 million to promote the ‘energy transition’ in Navarre

The energy transition is the change to clean energy sources that avoid the use of fossil fuels, as is the case with solar or wind energy. This undoubtedly helps combat climate change, but it also contributes to the prevention of air pollution for the benefit of the health of all creatures that inhabit the planet.

The most important The advantage of these energies is virtually zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. and other pollutants that contribute to global warming. But they also help reduce pollution-related diseases and do not require large amounts of water to function. Therefore, they promote the care of this precious resource.

The objectives of these tools are promoting efficient energy consumption, increasing the contribution of renewable energy sources in final energy consumption, as well as reducing fossil fuel use, increasing renewable energy in transportation and promoting energy communities. That same week, the Energy Transition Service organized webinars to announce the basis for the calls.

Sustainable transport and decarbonisation

The first aid is intended to… implementation of decarbonization plans for SMEs and large companies in the industrial sector. These actions may include investments in the replacement or improvement of equipment and facilities that reduce final energy consumption and CO2 emissions; implementation or improvement of energy management systems that reduce final energy consumption and CO2 emissions; or the implementation of electricity generation installations with photovoltaic technology, intended for self-consumption. An amount of 40,000 euros has been allocated for this.

For its part, the realization of sustainable transport plans at companies in 2025is also subsidized with an amount of 40,000 euros. These plans must be aimed at a group of companies located on the same industrial estate.

In case one sustainable transport plan is intended for more than one companyDifferent requests can be made on behalf of different companies. The eligible expenses and the maximum amount of aid associated with each application are calculated on the basis of the percentage of the total budget of the transport plan allocated to each company, in an agreement between the parties.

Loose sustainable transport plans (PTS) of companies and institutions must define the necessary measures promote the sustainable mobility of its workforce when traveling to work, reduce travel needs and enable and prioritize user travel on public transport, pedestrians and autonomous zero-emission means.

The next call for help is aimed at non-profit organizations that want to implement the project renovation of existing indoor lighting installations in your buildingsinvesting in renewable energy installations or setting up renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. The amount of this call is 60,000 euros.

The third call adds, in addition to the renovation or lighting installation actions, renewable energy and energy efficiencythe implementation of sustainable urban mobility plans and is aimed at local entities in Navarre. A total budget of 2,100,000 euros is allocated for all this.

Eligible expenses include the costs of design, project preparation and construction management; the costs of carrying out the works and installations; and investments in newly acquired goods, equipment and materials. In case of actions for electrical installations for self-consumptionexpenses related to the work necessary to connect the production installation to the distribution network will be eligible.
