The 2025 cycle-lenoturism calendar, presented at the Bologna cycle tourism fair, combines the passion for bicycle, the love for the extra virgin olive oil and the discovery of historical treasures in a sensory journey between landscapes, flavors and unique cultural heritage
Cycle-lollaturism with the Lombard
On April 27, 2025 we start with “The Lombard”a pedaling of about 49 km that crosses the municipalities of Trevi, Campello sul Clitunno and Spoleto. Starting from Trevi, a city symbol of olive culture with its oil of oil and the civilization of the olive tree, the cyclists will be immersed in the Assisi-Spoleto olive band, recognized by the FAO as an agricultural landscape of world relevance.
Along the way, historical oil mills such as the Gaudenzi oil mill, active since 1950 and known for its high quality production, and the oil mill, the Poggiolo di Monini, located on the hills that dominate the Spoleto valley, will be visited. These places not only offer tastings of extra virgin olive oil, but also the opportunity to get to know the producers and their stories up close.
The journey culminates with the visit to two jewels of the UNESCO heritage: the temple of Clitunno and the Basilica of San Salvatore in Spoleto, testimonies of Lombard art in Italy.
Podal & good taste: exploring Umbria between May and November
In the Saturdays of May 2025, the cyclisturism program continues with the “Podal & good taste. Between villages, olive trees and farms”organized in collaboration with Fiab Foligno Environment and bicycle. These guided excursions lead the participants through centuries -old olive groves and picturesque villages, with stops in farms and oil mills associated with the road of the EVO Umbria Ovo oil.
After the summer break, the pedaling resume from 19 October to 16 November 2025, in conjunction with Frantoi open in Umbriathe highlight of the regionaloleoturismo. During this period, cyclists will have the opportunity to participate in the third edition of “The large pedaling along the Assisi-Spoleto olive band”, scheduled for 18 October 2025.
This e-bike itinerary, organized in collaboration with the Franciscan, Fiab Umbria and Youmobility, crosses a pedestrian landscape modeled by the cultivation of the olive tree, candidate to become a UNESCO heritage.
Open mills: a multisensory experience
“Frantoi open in Umbria”now in its XXVII edition, will take place from 18 October to 16 November 2025, offering over 500 initiatives throughout the region. During five consecutive weekends, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the authentic atmosphere of the mills in activity, participate in tastings of new oil, attend concerts among the centuries -old olive trees and discover local traditions through cultural and gastronomic events.
Among the novelties, the “Evo&Art Experience” They propose guided tours to discover the subzone of the Dop Umbria, the places of Perugino and the Unesco goods of Campello on Clitunno and Spoleto. Meanwhile “#Keyumbra-in nature” It offers artistic experiments and art exhibitions in the Olivato landscape, enhancing the relationship between man and the environment.
