MITECO reports: today the Spanish water reserve is 28,288 cubic hectometers

The water reserve Spain is at 50.5% of its total capacity. The reservoirs currently store 28,288 cubic hectometers (hm³) of water, increasing in the last week by 2,932 cubic hectometers (5.2% of the current total capacity of the reservoirs).

The reservation by areas according to the MITECO is the next:

  • Eastern Cantabrian is at 89%
  • Western Cantabrian at 83.9%
  • Miño-Sil at 83.1%
  • Galicia Coast at 89.2%
  • Internal basins of the Basque Country at 85.7%
  • Duero at 65.3%
  • Cut at 69.6%
  • Guadiana at 32.2%
  • Red, Odiel and Piedras at 70.3%
  • Guadalete-Barbate at 14.6%
  • Guadalquivir at 21%
  • Andalusian Mediterranean Basin at 18.3%
  • Safe at 18.4%
  • Júcar at 47%
  • Ebro at 63.8%
  • Internal basins of Catalonia at 16.2%

Precipitation have considerably affected the entire peninsula. The maximum occurred in Navacerrada with 103.0 mm (103.0 l/m²).
