Spain is considering recovering the banned energy: it is located 3000 meters deep and comes from Iceland

The application of new and better fonts energy Renewable energy is growing more and more as time goes by and is practically becoming a necessity for many industries, as in this way it contributes significantly to the generation of clean energy and the neutralization of carbon dioxide. Now Spain is trying to reclaim this forbidden energy.

Spain is investing heavily in geothermal energy

As many know, Spain is one of the many countries that plan to take the lead in the energy transition and this would be achieved thanks to the implementation of a long list of projects aimed at generating clean and sustainable energy. Now the country has considered recovering the energy under the crisis Three thousand meters deep.

First of all, it is important to remember that Iceland plans to find a way to make the most of the geothermal energy available in the Krafla Volcanic Chamber and to be able to use the unlimited energy that the location offers, and to make this plan possible to make. it must first drill a minimum of 3,000 meters and have access temperatures around 1,300 ºC.

Although little visited, geothermal energy proves to be extremely useful thanks to its great potential. Now Spain is trying to become one of the most developed countries in this specific sector, supplementing it with hydroelectric energy, wind energy and, without a doubt, photovoltaic energy. Making your plans possible requires some really ambitious goals and that’s exactly what you’re looking for with this project.

This is the plan the country has in mind to establish itself in the sector

As we already mentioned, Spain is trying to become a country that leads the energy transition and dominates geothermal energy. To make this possible, it is already working on the latest objectives of the new version of the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan. In concrete terms, the country is trying to exploit the geothermal energy available in its areas,

To make this plan possible, a series of projects were first set up that would run in the Canary Islands and Madrid. These will focus on the exploration, extraction and exploitation of deep geothermal energy with the main objective of determining the availability of geothermal energy; resources available in the areas mentioned above.

We’re actually talking about a new opportunity for Spain to position itself as a leader in renewable energy sources compared to the rest of the world most common, such as photovoltaic, wind and hydroelectric energy, but it would not stop there, because it also aims to make the most of the energy contained in the subsurface. Geothermal energy will also be applied to the extensive list of plans the country has.

A million dollars in funding will make this project possible

The project called Deep Geothermal Energy will be implemented in three Spanish regions in total. First of all, it involves extensive financing of 111.2 million euros to build a total of 11 geothermal power plants with which the country will position itself successfully in the energy transition with the projects that will be developed in the Canary Islands and Madrid.

On the other hand, it is very important to emphasize that A large number of these projects have not been implemented and the reason is attributed to the high financial risks and costs associated with production.

This would be a real achievement for Spain and its energy sector, as each of these projects would push aside expensive and highly polluting fossil fuels that emit greenhouse gases and exacerbate climate change.
