Spain’s water reserve today is 26,595 cubic hectometers

The water reserve Spanish is at 47,5% of its capacity total. The reservoirs currently store 26,595 cubic hectometers (hm³) of water, decreasing in the last week by 178 cubic hectometers (0.3% of the current total capacity of the reservoirs).

The water reserve by areas is the following:

  • Eastern Cantabrian is at 89%
  • Western Cantabrian at 71.8%
  • Miño-Sil at 63.3%
  • Galicia Costa at 56.7%
  • Internal basins of the Basque Country at 90.5%
  • Duero at 61.7%
  • Cut at 55.2%
  • Guadiana at 39.3%
  • Red, Odiel and Piedras at 70.3%
  • Guadalete-Barbate at 20.5%
  • Guadalquivir at 29.9%
  • Andalusian Mediterranean Basin at 22.4%
  • Safe at 15.7%
  • Júcar at 40.6%
  • Ebro at 59.2%
  • Internal basins of Catalonia at 28.5%

The rainfall has considerably affected the entire peninsula. The maximum occurred in Santiago de Compostela with 156.0 mm (156,0 l/m²).
