The water reserve in Spain today is 28,717 cubic hectometers

The Spanish water reserve is at 51.2% of its total capacity. The reservoirs currently store 28,717 cubic hectometers (hm³) of water, decreasing in the last week by 235 cubic hectometers (0.4% of the current total capacity of the reservoirs).

The water reserve by areas according to MITECO is the following:

  • Eastern Cantabrian is at 89%
  • Western Cantabrian at 58.8%
  • Miño-Sil at 60.2%
  • Galicia Costa at 69.2%
  • Internal basins of the Basque Country at 95.2%
  • Duero at 62.5%
  • Cut at 56.2%
  • Guadiana at 41.2%
  • Red, Odiel and Piedras at 76.4%
  • Guadalete-Barbate at 27.5%
  • Guadalquivir at 34.8%
  • Andalusian Mediterranean Basin at 27.4%
  • Safe at 18.7%
  • Júcar at 48.1%
  • Ebro at 71.8%
  • Internal basins of Catalonia at 33.4%

Precipitation has been abundant on the Mediterranean slope and has affected the Atlantic slope to a lesser extent. The maximum occurred in Barcelona (A) with 144.3 mm (144,3 l/m²).
