A NEW EDUCATIONAL PROJECT DEDICATED TO LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS. IN COLLABORATION WITH SCHOOL ACTIVE ONLUS AND IN MEDIA PARTNERSHIP WITH IL MENSILE “TO HAPPEN”THE PROJECT AIMS TO RAISE YOUNG PEOPLE’S AWARENESS ON THE TOPIC OF PLASTIC RECYCLING, BY PROVIDING THEM THE RIGHT TOOLS TO DISTINGUISH CORRECT INFORMATION FROM FAKE NEWS. UP GENERATION IT WANTS TO BE AN EXAMPLE FOR NEW GENERATIONS SO THAT THEY BECOME CONSCIOUS CITIZENS AND PROMOTERS OF A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
Up Generation: objectives
The project UP generation aims to educate students on the topic of recycling of plastic packaging and to create awareness of the benefits of sustainability.

«Sustainability and the circular economy are constantly at the center of public, media and social debate, which is why we want to strengthen our initiatives aimed at raising public awareness and focusing on the future of the country, on our young people», he underlined Giovanni Cassutipresident of Corepla, reiterating the importance of supporting teachers in dealing with complex and current topics, providing students with the skills necessary to better understand the role of recycling in protecting the environment.
The importance of involving young people
Involving young people in these projects means educate children about recycling and sustainabilityhelping them to develop a critical look at the world and to recognize the importance of ecological choices.
Up Generation: a project in collaboration with Avvenire
The project, free for schools, will materialize through a monthly column published in the insert PopUp of the newspaper Futureout every first Tuesday of the month from October 2024 to May 2025. This educational path, consisting of eight outings, will be accompanied by two online workshops. The first workshop will address the topic of green jobs and professional opportunities linked to sustainability, while the second will explore the importance of correct information, involving journalists from Avvenire and testimonials from Corepla. It is possible to participate in the project by requesting on site.

Active Onlus SchoolCorepla partner, is proud to support Generazione UP and thus renew its commitment to orientation for secondary schools, in line with the guidelines of the MIUR. The president of Active School, Simona Frassoneunderlined how the project helps combat educational poverty and to overcome gender barriers, promoting access to education and the world of work in innovative fields.
