A world preview that will conquer the general public
The film was presented in a world preview in the Special Screenings section of the 19th edition of the Rome Film Festival and will participate in the DOC Competition of the Sutwermopper of Monopoli (BA). The project was supported by the Mixed Film Production and Distribution House, already known for successes such as Food for Profit.
In collaboration with Maestro Distribution, “As if there was no tomorrow” He is ready to reach the general public in Italian theaters from March 6th. An intimate and provocative story of the actions and hopes of activists against the climatic crisis.
The documentary is produced by Motorino Amaranto and Greenboo Production, with the advice of Paolo Giordano. The distribution in Italian theaters is curated by Mescalito Film, in collaboration with Maestro Distribution.
“As if there was no tomorrow”: an honest and balanced story
The documentary follows the stories of five activists of the latest generation movement, telling not only their actions, but also the doubts, emotions and hopes that guide them. The film offers us a sincere look at the difficulties and internal conflicts of those who engage in a struggle for the future of the planet.
The movement is defined as the latest generation capable of stopping the curve of a climatic emergency that has now overcome the critical threshold and the film tries to paint the choral portrait of this group and their indomitable battle so that there can be tomorrow.
The climatic crisis and the arduous task in telling it to generations
Cremona and Keffer directors declare that telling this story was a simple task. The climatic crisis is not a single event but a context in which we are all immersed. However, confronting the human instinct to suppress pain regarding its serious consequences represented a challenge. The documentary also explores the contradictions of a generation which, while seeing an uncertain future, finds the strength to react by playing everything on a small possibility of changing the course of things.
«For us to talk to them and tell their vision of the world it was also to confront our contradictions and question our prejudices and indifference. After all, they ask us a question as simple as it is deep: what really matters for me? The answer to this question is the heart of this story», The two directors conclude.
