IL “CLIMATE FICTION DAYS” He returns to Pistoia from 18 to 23 March 2025 with his second edition. A unique event in Italy dedicated to literature on climate change. This year, the initiative includes a series of novelties, including meetings with great authors, exhibitions, concerts and collaborations with local schools

A start full of events for the Climate Fiction Days

It starts on Tuesday 18 March at 8.45 pm at the Palazzo de ‘Rossi, with an inaugural meeting at Music of music. The next day, Wednesday 19 March, at 5.30 pm, the exhibition will be open at the Moon Gallery “The Friday tables”with the participation of the authors Guido Scarabottolo & Co., which will remain visible until May 15th. On March 20 at 6 pm, the presentation of the book will be held in the Puccini Gatteschi room “Like the breath of the wind” by Elisa Berti.

The Festival comes alive on Friday 21 March

Friday 21 March, the Festival comes alive with a meeting reserved for high school children. To which will follow Sofia Pasotto’s Lectio Magistralis, at 4.30 pm, at the San Giorgio Library. At 5.15 pm, Lorenzo Guadagnucci will modify a debate between Lorenzo Zaffaroni and Fabio Deotto, who will preview the results of Inter University Research “The social imagination of the future through the climate fiction”. At 19, at the Museum of the ancient Palazzo dei Vescovi, a discussion with the poet Helen Moore and Paola Loreto, professor of American literature will take place.

Meetings and workshops for all ages

Saturday 22 March will be full of events, including a meeting with Antonio Moresco and Marina Milani at 11, followed by a session of “Universe Comics” With authors like Roberto Grossi and Barbara Borlini. The little ones (from 6 to 10 years) will have activities available with Susanna Stigler, set designer and visual artist, while the San Giorgio Library will be held loud reading and presentations of books dedicated to the environment. The day will end with an acoustic concert by Finaz at 8.45 pm at Palazzo Fabroni.

Conclusion of the Festival

Sunday 23 March, the event will end with a focus on the literary translation, with the participation of Lia Iovenitti, translator of the Nobel Prize 2024 Han Kang. The meeting will be held in the Puccini Gatteschi room, moderated by Nausikaa Angelotti and Daniela Marina Rossi.

This edition of the Climate Fiction Days It wants to be a unique opportunity to combine literature and art with the themes related to climate change, thanks to the many events scheduled, suitable for young and old.
