Bornay presents its TBB ‘RiiO Sun II’ multifunctional equipment for self-use of solar energy and small wind energy

Bornay go to the GENERA Honest with a scoop: it will exclusively include the TBB multifunctional equipment in the sustainable energy sector. Bornay has participated in this International Energy and Environment Fair since its inception, which will be held on this occasion from February 6 to 8, 2024 in IFEMA (Madrid).

The main feature of this new TBB equipment that Bornay exclusive distribution is that they are multifunctional: a single device is an inverter, a charger and a solar controller at the same time, offering greater flexibility and convenience in the configuration and start-up of the different installations. The technology is based on transformers, parallel and three-phase (up to 54 kVA).

Bornay has already equipment RiiO Sun II to distribute it is the new all-in-one multifunctional inverter from TBB for isolated applications: ESS and own use which combines a pure sine wave inverter; a battery charger; an MPPT solar charge controller and a fast automatic transfer relay. All this in a compact housing, with an improved display design and a better interface.

RiiO Sun II It offers higher PV open circuit voltage, higher PV charging power and current, as well as the possibility of parallel and three-phase operation of up to 9 units to achieve higher power up to 54 kVA. Optionally it is possible to work without batteries and only use solar energy to directly power the loads.

The versatility of this equipment allows you to start with an integrated system or a smaller solution and gradually expand depending on the needs and budget of each installation.

The 5kVA and 6kVA models are also equipped with programmable smart ports for generator input and load management. RiiO Sun II It also supports AC coupling functionalities with energy injection at the AC input, to maximize self-consumption.

RiiO Sun II It features AGS, Power Assist and Power Control functions that enable functionality with limited AC sources such as generators or the grid, where RiiO Sun II can automatically adjust the charging current taking into account the AC power limitation, or can synchronize to increase temporary peak power.

Bornay: small wind energy for the energy transition

This fair aims to showcase some of today’s most important lines of research in the field of research renewable energy and energy efficiency. It has the support of the sector and institutions, but also of professionals from the energy world. Juan de Dios, CEO of Bornay explains: “This fair is very important for the sustainable energy sector Bornay “It has always been present with its new products and catalogue.”

GENERA has the support of the Institute for Energy Diversification and Savings, IDAE (Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge), and with the support of the main actors of this important economic sector who, according to the data from the latest study IRENA 2022, represents a direct contribution to GDP of 21.6%. Taking into account the direct contribution and the domino effect, renewable energy sources contributed 21.961 million euros to Spain’s GDP.

One of the central axes of this fair is sustainability: “To achieve a balance between consumption and the environment, companies must invest in the energy transition. We must ensure that they get the energy they need to function without pollution: and to do that they must rely on their own consumption. And in this sense, it is preferable to build a hundred small facilities than one large one, with the main objective: to produce and consume at the same point,” explains Juan de Dios. Bornay.

The exhibition in which the brand presents GENERA It focuses on self-consumption for small consumers via mini wind installations. This energy produced by the wind can be another source of energy in homes thanks to some small wind turbines with a power of less than 100 kW. “This ‘mini wind turbines“They are able to take advantage of a natural resource such as the wind day and night at any time of the year and can meet the electricity needs of an average family without emitting a gram of CO₂,” says the director of Bornay.

Furthermore, this one mini wind turbines They have light propellers, made of fiberglass and carbon and are easy to install, Juan de Dios Bornay It also explains that “they require little maintenance and, by generating energy close to the point of consumption, prevent losses in transport.”
