The Ministry of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Trade published this Thursday in the Official Gazette of Cantabria the first call for SODERCAN support for R&D projects related to the energy transition. framework of the European Partnership for the Clean Energy Transition (CEPT) of Horizon Europe, in which the public company participates as a financing organization on behalf of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria.
The Minister of Industry and President of SODERCAN, Eduardo Arasti, explains that through this new helpline, which has a budget of 300,000 euros, the Regional Development Agency will support the Cantabrian companies and research centers that have successfully participated in international consortia. first call for competitive competition of the European CEPT programme.
In this first call of 2023, a transnational project led by the CTC Technology Center has been approved, with the participation of the Cantabrian company Ecodualba and the University of Cantabria, on direct CO2 electrocatalysis for the production of renewable methane; as well as another project in which the Cantabrian company Apria Systems participates as a partner, with the aim of demonstrating the production of clean hydrogen from the photothermal transformation of compounds derived from biomass.

The launch of this new helpline is included in the Regional Development Agency’s Strategic Grant Plan, with the aim of promoting the implementation of R&D projects that support the transition to generation and use of clean energythus contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of companies in the region and enabling the internationalization of R&D&I. Applications must be submitted via SODERCAN Assistant Manager within one month from tomorrow, and the implementation period of the projects will be up to 36 months.
