The minister praised the initiative, as a concrete example of social inclusionunderlining the value of culture, reading and writing in the process of care and support for the little ones.

The idea was born from a simple but powerful question: «Why can’t we live in peace?». It is precisely from this reflection that children, through their designs, wanted to express the universal need for peace, sharing and harmony.

The president of the Burlo Garofolo Foundation, Gabriele accounthighlighted the symbolic value of the project, in which «The children designed without filters, without borders. Many have not put their name: there is no possession, there is no “mine” and “yours”. It is not only a collection of drawings, but a universal peace message that starts from a pediatric hospital in the earth and arrives at the top, in space ».
The value of the cure beyond medicine
The director of the Burlo Garofolo Institute, Francescaosolinirecalled that the hospital, founded in 1856 and recognized as scientific hospitalization and care institutions (IRCCS) since 1968, is a place where pediatric research joins the reception.

The project does not stop there. The scriptorium provides for the creation of an itinerant exhibition of the original drawings, to be brought to the Italian squares and, perhaps, also abroad. The Osaka Expo is among the possible stages, as the same has suggested, hoping to show the most authentic, inclusive and creative face of Italy in that location.
