CIUDEN opens the deadline for proposals in the field of green hydrogen and storage

Energy City Foundation (CIUDEN): green hydrogen j energy storage. The Energy City Foundation (CIUDEN) aims to adapt its industrial facilities for the validation of technologies for the production of green hydrogen j Energy storage. This tender procedure is framed within the Component 10 of the Just Transition Strategy of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).

The Energy City Foundation (CIUDEN)has published the announcements opening the deadline for submitting proposals for six key tenders in its production project green hydrogen j energy storage.

Two of these tenders are aimed at different electrolysis systems for the production of green hydrogena high-temperature system based on solid oxide electrolytic cells (SOEC), with the ability to operate in reversible mode, i.e. to generate electricity from green hydrogen (fuel cell mode, SOFC); the other is a water electrolysis system with proton exchange membrane (PEM) technology. Similarly, a third tender has also been opened for a compression system and green hydrogen storage.

On the other hand, the tender files for two pilot installations have been published two projects for the production of electrofuels (e-fuels) from green hydrogen and captured CO2: the first for synthetic natural gas (SNG) generation, and the second for methanol generation. The tender procedure has been published as a “partnership for innovation” as it concerns two R&D projects.

The last of the tenders that the Energy City Foundation (CIUDEN) published this week consists of the modification of the gasifier already present in the facilities of the Technology Development Center Cubillos del Sil, so that it can gasify biomass with mixtures of pure oxygen, water vapor and CO2 as a gasification agent (oxygasification). This will allow the generation of a syngas suitable for the demonstration of synthesis technologies. sustainable liquid fuelsfor example, aviation fuels (SAF).

Energy City Foundation (CIUDEN): green hydrogen and energy storage

With these kinds of initiatives Energy City Foundation (CIUDEN) seeks, through innovation and technological development in the state public sector, to accelerate the development of the state’s economy green hydrogenpromote its use and effective integration renewable energyin addition to stimulating the social and economic activity of the areas affected by the process energy transitionsuch as the municipality where the delivery object of these tenders will be located, i.e. the Technology Development Center Cubillos del Silprovince of Leon.

This tender procedure is therefore framed within the Component 10 – Just Transition Strategy of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Planbeing Energy City Foundation (CIUDEN) the person responsible for the CID objective #142: Completion of two investment projects to adapt industrial facilities as a future Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructure (ICTS) for the validation of the green hydrogen production j Energy storage.
