Ekhi buys two solar power stations in Zaragoza with a total capacity of 44.21 MW

Echi has acquired the Enerland Group two solar power plants that will operate according to a grid connection scheme and are located in Zaragoza; Together they amount to 44.21 MW. This is the largest acquisition the company has made in Spain to date.

The energy platform ekhi What offers sustainable, distributed energy services and on a grand scale, it has announced the purchase of two photovoltaic solar power plants totaling 44.21 megawatts in Zaragoza. This investment represents the company’s largest acquisition in Spain to date. The transaction was financed by Banco Sabadell and the factories were acquired from Enerland.

The new facilities of Echi will jointly produce approximately 86 GWh of clean energy per year and contribute significantly to the reduction of the ecological footprint, avoiding the emission of 23,656 tons of CO₂ annual. These environmental benefits are equivalent to planting 1,182,800 trees or avoiding 203.6 million kilometers traveled by conventional vehicles.

The solar power plants were purchased in the RTB (Ready to Build) phase with the commitment to commission them by Enerland. The assets will operate under a grid connection scheme, injecting the generated energy into the wholesale market.

Unlike other Ekhi projects that focus on self-consumptionthis facility is designed to serve the market on a large scale. Ekhi plans to use this asset to increase its capacity to supply 100% renewable energy to end users.
