The exhibition “EYE! Looks in the area “ between art and environment
“EYE! Looks in the area ” It is an exhibition that combines art, design and environmental issues. Organized by the Rena reclamation consortium, the exhibition is part of ART CITY Bolognaan event that takes place on the occasion of the 2025 architect. The exhibition will be held from February 6 to March 22, 2025.
The aim is to sensitize the public on the crucial themes of water management, biodiversity and the environment. In particular, it focuses on the relationship between man, nature and technology, inviting to reflect on the role of entities such as Renan remediation in the protection and care of the territory.
The project involves the students of the graphic design course of the Academy, led by Professor Danilo Danisi, who will present artistic posters and graphic designers suspended in the courtyard of honor of Palazzo Zani. The initiative coincides with the centenary of the construction of the Saiarino and Vallesanta water -sided systems, a symbol of the history of water management in the region.
The participation of the students of the Academy of Fine Arts
The heart of the exhibition is made up of the graphic and artistic works created by the students of the graphic design course of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. All under the guidance of Professor Danilo Danisi.
The young designers, through suspended posters, deal with environmental issues with different techniques, telling the vitality of water as a resource for the territory, but also the advanced technologies at the service of the management of natural resources. The installation, which transforms the courtyard of honor of Palazzo Zani into a narrative threshold, invites visitors to look to the future while exploring the past of the architecture dedicated to water management.
An opportunity to reflect on the territory
The exhibition is part of a context that celebrates the centenary of the watering systems of Saiarino and Vallesanta, examples of industrial architectures built in 1925 and still in operation. The Consortium of Rena Reclamation, responsible for the management of water in the Metropolitan City of Bologna and in other areas of the Region, promotes an initiative that aims to strengthen the awareness of the public on the importance of a balance between man and nature, through Art and design.
In this context, the exhibition also assumes an educational value, inviting the public to reflect on the social role of entities such as Renan remediation in the care of the territory.
The award and the World Water Day
During the exhibition, the public will have the opportunity to vote on the project that considers most significant among those exposed. The author of the winning project will receive a prize at the end of the exhibition, on March 22, 2025, in conjunction with the World Water Day. This recognition underlines the importance of environmental awareness, which is also done through the active involvement of students and the community.
The program
“EYE! Looks in the area “is part of a broader program, innovation design, developed by LAB.BRAINdesign for Renana reclamation. The program is based on design thinking, a method that stimulates change and promotes a deeper understanding of the strategic role of the consortium in the area.
The insertion of this project in the Design Index 2024, the selection of projects candidate for the Compasso d’Oro ADI, confirms the value of this initiative as a reference point for innovation in design and sustainability.
