Best green areas for Madrid
The Governing Board has recently authorized the framework agreement for the drafting of projects and technical studies of actions of the General Directorate of Water Management and Green Areas. This agreement gives continuity to the current one and is divided into six lots.


The initiative, promoted by the area of Government of Urban Planning, Environment and Mobility and announced by the vice mayor and municipal spokesman, Inma Sanz, at a press conference, aims to establish the conditions and expedite contracts related to construction projects, preliminary projects or technical studies linked to the care of green areas and water management in the city of Madrid.
The processing of these contracts through the Framework Agreement allows a greater administrative efficiency and an economic advantage for the Madrid City Council for the created synergies. The term of the framework agreement will be four years as of November 2025 and its estimated value is 4.2 million euros.
The division into lots of the agreement is made from geographical criteria in the case of Three lots referring to the management of the green areas of Madriddepending on the typology of the works required by the City Council as regards the actions related to water management or by the uniqueness of the historical and forest parks, the nurseries or the rosebound of the west Park. Taking this into account, the six lots are as follows:

-Lot 1 (Northwest Zone): Districts of Centro, Chamberí, Tetuán, Fuencarral-El Pardo, Moncloa-Aravaca, Latina and Carabanchel.
-Lot 2 (Northeast Zone): Districts of Arganzuela, Retiro, Salamanca, Chamartín, Linear City, Hortaleza, San Blas-Canillejas, Barajas and Vicálvaro.
– Lot 3 (South Zone): Districts of Usera, Villaverde, Puente de Vallecas, Villa de Vallecas and Moratalaz.
– Lot 4: Sanitation, sewage and water purification work, including the actions that affect Tertiary treatments of wastewater regenerating stations (Erar) for water reuse. Work on the Manzanares River.
– Lot 5: Water reuse actions in relation to the expansion or improvement of regenerated water networks for irrigation of green areas or vials, alternative water resources, conservation, conservation, rehabilitation and improve water trips, urban streamsornamental sources and hydraulic facilities.
– Lot 6: projects and technical studies in the field of parks and areas encompassed in the seven conservation lots Dependents of the General Subdirectorate of Parks and Nurseries such as the historical and unique parks, the main forest parks, municipal nurseries and the rosebound of the West Park.
