GEOSMARTCAMPUS, GRUPPO ENERCOM, SILICON DRINKABOUT ITALY E STARTUPEASYIN COLLABORATION WITH IMPORTANT PARTNERS IN THE WORLD OF INNOVATION, THEY LAUNCHED THE NEXTOWN CHALLENGE. THIS STARTUP COMPETITION IS DEDICATED TO PROMOTING INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR IMPROVING DIGITALIZATION OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED MUNICIPALITIES, AIMING TO MAKE THE TERRITORIES MORE ACCESSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE FOR CITIZENS
Context and objective of the project
NexTown Challenge is a pioneering initiative, the first of its kind, which is part of the Geosmartcampus Innovation Forum. This event will take place in Rome on 8 and 9 May at the Ergife Palace Hotel, in conjunction with the Esri Italy Conference 2024the main national event dedicated to GeoKnowledge and technologies.
Themes and technological focus
Participants are called upon to propose innovative solutions in key sectors such as:
- Water Management,
- Energy and energy communities,
- Turismo,
- Cultural heritage,
- Digital healthcare,
- Mobility,
- Safety,
- Urban Welfare,
- Communication and Citizen Engagement.
Il technological focus is about innovative solutions integrated with i Territorial Information Systems (GIS), focusing on prediction, monitoring, accessibility, management, diversity, scalability, replicability and sustainability.
Participation and deadlines
The The deadline for submitting projects is April 20, 2024, at 11:00 pm. Startups, innovative SMEs, new businesses, cooperatives and university spin-offs can participate. To apply, you must complete the participation form available on the website Geosmartcampus.it and send it to info@geosmartcampus.it.
Final event
The Pitch Competition final will be held on8 maggio during the 3rd edition of Geosmartcampus Innovation Forum in Rome, at the Ergife Palace Hotel, as part of the Esri Italia 2024 Conference. The finalist startups will have the opportunity to present their innovative projects in front of a jury made up of important partners from the world of innovation and representatives of the participating Italian municipalities.
Networking and opportunities
The final Pitch Competition will not only be an opportunity to compete, but also to do networkingdeepen knowledge and exchange ideas on the latest technologies that are transforming the world of Smart Cities.
