The students of the three -year degree in Architecture of the IUAV University of Venice meet the administrations of the Municipalities of the Euganean Colli to develop new initiatives to enhance the territory
Euganean hills are a destination that surprises for its variety, between history, nature and authentic flavors. This corner of Veneto, of volcanic origin, which extends a few kilometers from Padua, gives breathtaking panoramas and a rich cultural heritage.

Then a memorandum of understanding will be signed with the municipalities of the Euganean Colli Battaglia Terme, Cinto Euganeo, Galzignano Terme, Teolo together with the Monte Venda Onlus Foundation.
The parties will confront themselves to examine some ideas for a new library to be built and how to improve the quality of the public spaces of Galzignano Terme.
Il “Monte Venda and the lost figure of the monastery”
The day of Friday 7 March 2025, he continues, then at 17:00 with the inauguration of the exhibition “Monte Venda and the lost figure of the monastery”set up in the premises of Muce – Colli Euganei Museum.
The exhibition was born in the context of initiatives aimed at rediscovering the historical roots of the Municipalities of the Colli. The project “Municipality of roots”, financed by the Ministry of Tourism through the PNRR, falls into the strategy “Tourism of the roots-an integrated strategy for the resumption of the tourism sector in Post Covid-19th Italy”. The initiative is part of the “Announcement for the realization of cultural activities in favor of Italian-registration in the world”, promoted on the occasion of 2024, year dedicated to Italian roots.
The works on display face the recovery and enhancement of the Monastery of San Giovanni Battista del Venda. Among these stand out a master’s degree thesis in architecture and the design experiments developed by the students of the laboratory “The conservation project”. The project received the support of the Monte Venda Onlus Foundation.

The thesis will become an integral part of the Euganean Colli Museum of Galzignano Terme, enriching its assets with a new research work. This contributes to strengthening the role of muce not only as a custodian of historical memory, but also as a pole of innovation and experimentation, capable of generating new planning for the territory.
University and public administrations for a sustainable future
The IUAV University has long paid particular attention to the landscape of the Euganean hills. Last year he concentrated his studies on Battaglia Terme and Monte Venda, while this year the Focus moves to Baone and Galzignano. The value of this initiative does not lie in the individual project, but in the virtuous process that sees university and public administrations to collaborate for a sustainable future.
