This Spanish island could be the new Dubai: they have the oil of the 21st century 3000 meters underground

Spain is one of the main countries in the European Union that wants to successfully establish itself in the important change towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly energy generation. To make this possible, the country has taken a series of more ecological measures, constantly seeking new projects that contribute to the generation of energy from renewable sources.

A promising way to make optimal use of the energy of this Spanish island

For a long time, photovoltaic energy and even wind energy have taken the lead among renewable energy sources. This is because these two types of renewable energy sources were the most used by a large number of projects aimed at caring for the environment. However, the energy sector still has a long way to go.

At this moment, Spain is broadening its horizons and continuing to expand the methods it has available to produce clean energy free from polluting emissions such as carbon dioxide, one of the most recognized greenhouse gases that are amplifying climate change and its devastating effects on the entire world.

Well, in the same sense, Spain has started a new portfolio of energy projects, including some aimed at obtaining clean energy from geothermal energy. It is important that we mention that the public-private company, Gran Canaria Geotermia SLhas recently launched one of the most promising projects related to this form of energy.

The main idea of this company is to start the project that aims to launch three surveys up to 2700 meters well before the end of October. This same project is planned to be carried out in an area of 36 square kilometersthe same one that would lie between Valsequillo, Telde, Ingenio and Agüimes.

This announcement was made in September by the President of the Cabildo, Antonio Morales. It was also confirmed that this project was co-financed and shared by the Island Energy Council (CIE)Canary companies such as Base of the Canary Islands and Ayagaures areain addition to the British drilling specialist company, Dando Drilling International.

Focusing on the estimated budget for this major project, it is important to mention that it will have a cost of approx 30 million euros to carry out the total of the three studies that are planned to be implemented. An important colorful fact is that half of this amount will be provided by the Institute for Diversification and Energy Savings (IDAE).

An important progress for renewable energy sources in Spain

On the other hand, we can emphasize that each of the partners who will participate in this innovative project is fully convinced of the results of said exploration. This is because preliminary studies have already shown that there are large amounts of resources that can be exploited. in large masses. Specifically we are talking about the 182 mining networks that will be taken into account in the implementation of this project.

Finally, we can mention that this sustainable energy will be in continuous operation, with energy being extracted 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This appears to be particularly beneficial, especially if this process does not produce environmentally harmful gases.

In conclusion, Spain continues to consolidate itself as one of the European leaders in the transition to renewable energies, expanding its horizons beyond solar and wind energy, which have dominated the panorama so far. These types of innovations represent the country’s deep commitment to finding more efficient and cost-effective ways to generate energy.
