A group of archaeologists, led by Kathleen Martinez from the University of Santo Domingo, embarked on a journey through history, under the temple of Finish Magna, on the Egyptian coast. The dimensions of the tunnel, 13 meters deep and 2 meters high, are reminiscent of the work of ancient craftsmen who dug through 1,305 meters of sandstone with geometric mastery. Kathleen Martinez has been studying Taposiris Magna, whose name means “great tomb of Osiris“, hoping to unravel the mystery of the lost tomb of Cleopatra VII. And the tunnel, with its enigmatic presence, presents itself as a promising clue.
Previous excavations have thrown up clues that seem to point directly to the tomb of Cleopatra, the last of the Ptolemies. Is the tunnel a secret passage leading to the burial place of the beautiful queen? Could this be the key to unraveling the mystery?
We know Taposiris Magna
In the heart of Egypt, surrounded by the breeze of the Mediterranean Sea, lies Taposiris Magna, a monument to the grandeur of antiquity.
