Photography exhibition ‘Nature of La Rioja’
The traveling exhibition of the 17th edition of the photography competition “Nature of La Rioja”.organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Affairs and the Environment, with the collaboration of La Rioja 360 Degrees Avanza, Society for the Promotion of La Rioja SAU and the Rioja Federation of Photography can be visited from today, October 15, at the Plaza de España in Arnedo, until November 4 next year.
From this date, and after visiting Logroño, Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Ezcaray, Haro, Nájera, Cervera del Río Alhama and Calahorra, the exhibition will tour four other cities in Rioja until will complete its journey in February 2025.
This year, as a novelty, in addition to the guided tours of the exhibitions that started last year, the Government of La Rioja and the Riojan Federation of Photography will organize a series free guided tours à la cartewhich will be aimed at organized groups (educational centres, professional associations, associations or any other group) wishing to visit the exhibition for training purposes. In the case of Arnedo, the tour for all target groups is on Saturday, October 26. That day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., two members of the Riojan Federation of Photography will help visitors learn more details about different aspects and curiosities of both the photographic technique used in the works and the places or species depicted in each of the works prevent the images. Registration is not required to participate in these guided tours with a predetermined date; yes that is the case tours for organized groups.
The traveling exhibition “Nature of La Rioja” It reaches its seventeenth edition this year and has become a classic in Rioja’s cultural scene. The exhibition presents the 7 winning photographs of the competition and a further 22 spectacular images submitted to the competition on large open-air panels.
The photo competition ‘Nature of La Rioja’, which promotes the respect and conservation of nature through the art of photographyhas managed to bring together in this 17th edition 157 photographers who have presented a total of 1,091 snapshots that, once again, have left incredible portraits of the fauna, flora and landscapes of Rioja.
As in previous years, the traveling exhibition “Nature of La Rioja” brings citizens closer together different points of the community’s geographythrough a series of snapshots that show the specific vision of each of the participants.
